Schwinn Circuit 1989.
Offered is a 1989 – original owner – Schwinn Circuit in well cared for survivor condition. Originally purchased from Dairy Ashford Schwinn in Houston, Texas this bicycle is a veteran of several Houston to Austin MS150 (Multiple Sclerosis Society) bicycle rides as well as a couple Alamo Challenges (Houston to San Antonio, American Lung Association). Original stickers and “Schwinn | Chicago” head badge are on bike.
This really is a beautiful bike from the period.
The Circuit includes its original Shimano Santé Group componentry – front and rear derailleurs, brake set and crank (BioPace). The beautiful white finish Santé Group was Shimano’s first effort to overtly appeal to consumers focus on bike componentry. Introduced in the late 1980s, Shimano’s Santé Group was positioned below Dura Ace and above Ultegra 600. This group was intended to be a stylish semi-Pro level package.
